The BBC’s New Art Season: Art Revealed

The BBC will be showing a range of art programmes across three of their channels this summer.

They have just launched a new website called Your Paintings as part of the Art Revealed season. Art Revealed kicks off on Monday 11th July with the three-part series British Masters on BBC4, which sets out to reappraise early 20th century British art, hosted by art historian Dr James Fox. Next, BBC1 will show The World’s Most Expensive Paintings, hosted by art critic Alastair Sooke. Finally, the more radical aspects of The Impressionists are considered by Waldemar Januszczak on BBC2.

The three presenters have also created guided tours for the website, Your Paintings, which delve deeper into the subject matter of their programmes will be available after each show is broadcast.

About Cathy

I'm the proprietor-ess of a little shop on the web which is full of pretty vintage things, reproduction prints and Ty Beanie Babies (because who doesn't love a sea of big-eyed cuteness?). I also collect old cook books; I'll be sharing recipes from them on my Love Vintage Recipes blog.
